MAUNDY THURSDAY CHRISTIAN PASSOVER SEDER MEAL – an annual event re-creating the Last Supper and re-learning its meanings for our modern day journey of faith.
ASH WEDNESDAY the beginning of Lent; a service in which we reflect on our mortality and God's call to realign ourselves with God's will; includes Holy Communion, with the option for the Imposition of Ashes, recognizing our mortality.
LENT – a forty-day period before Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday (excluding Sundays, which always celebrate the Resurrection). Lent is a time for self-examination and a re-ordering of priorities. Traditionally, it is a time for preparing for Baptism and New Life with the Risen Christ.
GOOD FRIDAY – the day we reflect on Our Lord's passion, suffering and death and its meaning for all who suffer and face death.
EASTER – the Chief Festival of The Church Year when we celebrate our Lord's victory over death and the grave and the promise to us of Eternal Life.
CHRISTMAS CAROLING – an annual event to bring Christmas Joy to the sick and shut-in and home-bound.
RALLY SUNDAY – an annual event to celebrate the church and to bring the community together with music, BBQ, waterslide, and other activeties. During the celebration we host the ladies from the Walter Hovings Home as an outreach to individuals trying to make a difference in their lives.
